Abstract
Collaborative learning is a dynamic and effective instructional strategy that promotes student learning through structured group activities in the classroom. This study examined the effectiveness of collaborative learning in improving the academic performance of 65 Class X geography students. A mixed-methods research design was employed, involving the collection and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data. Data analysis was conducted using statistical software, including Microsoft Excel and SPSS. The findings revealed a notable decline in the failure rate among students after the implementation of collaborative learning interventions. The pre-test results indicated that 35 out of 65 students failed, while the post-test results showed a reduction to 19 failures. These results suggest that collaborative learning is an encouraging strategy for enhancing student engagement and achievement.
